Summary/Abstract: The examples from the history of arts indicate very clearly that the periods whereto arts and architecture have interflows, roots and common solutions provided the most significant and valuable results. The architecture and arts phenomenon has always been in a continuous change. The architecture being defined as the result of all actions, concerning the subject treated hereto, that of the relation between architecture and the visual arts, we discern two categories: the architecture especially built, or further adapted to host and serve visual arts (museums, arts galleries, creation workshops, studios). In this case the architecture gives people the opportunity to meet with arts, the architecture being ennobled by arts (painting, sculpture, decorative arts). The research shall have as subject the first case, that of the relation between architecture and visual arts through premises especially designed and built so as to meet the special requirements requested by the creation and the communication with the public. The question that preoccupies us concerning the present art, where the dynamism characterises the expression field is the following: Must the premises for visual arts be re-designed in a continuous way?
