Summary/Abstract: In the large diversity of its usage, photography embodies a privileged tool for the search of an experience of Temporality, with its sensuality and power of evocation that includes it both in the fields memory and imaginary. The two ways of perceiving reality – the memory and the imaginary are recurring in photography, and their interactions are the cornerstone of the most subtle games and the most challenging contradictions that are enhancing the spirit. The memory is the one responsible for alienating us from the strict function of information of a photographic image, the one which induces emotion and sensibility in the document, and also an untiring capacity of authorizing various artistic projections, traced in the interval between reality and the illusive.
