Strategic drift and organizational change in the processual perspective

Summary/Abstract: The article discusses the issue of strategic drift in businesses in theoretical and empirical terms with the application of processual perspective in management. Processual approach is a relatively new cognitive trend taking up the issue of formation and transformation of organizations from the point of view of routines and practices. The paper aims to present a strategic drift from the processual perspective. The thesis that recursiveness of practice; devoid of elements of spontaneous changes; can cause strategic drift in an enterprise has been adopted in the article. The study involved a case study of a company operating in the clothing industry. The research has identified key partial elements of the process of strategic drift; which have cognitive value in the context of the adopted cognitive perspective.
