Summary/Abstract: In teaching of specialized translation not only terminology, but also stylistics plays great role. And if terminological problems are the central object in the dydactisc of specialized translation, then stylystic matters are regarded as peripheral. It appears however, that stylystics could be the key to the naturalness of translation, especially if it concerns translations from native language into foreign one. I don’t mean here traditional functional stylystics, but text stylystics and text grammar in comparative and – first of all – translatological dimension. Assuming textual character of specialized trasnaltion, I propose including into the model of specialized traslation such a translational unit as a text category. Due to this approach translation of specialized texts complies with contemporary text-oriented translation studies. The dynamics of the term in Russian linguistics is analyzed, the author also proposes to develop on this base comparative stylistic grammar for translation purposes.
