Summary/Abstract: The defense industry, as a national industry component on a smaller scale in terms of necessity, plays an important role in supporting the construction and development of defense capabilities.Through a process of restructuring, in which the Romanian state is the main funder and beneficiary of a competitive production of domestic and international goods, the defense industry of Romania being thus able to withstand the vulnerability of state policies as well as the market economy principles.
