The Implementation of Sensor Technology into Contemporary Music

Summary/Abstract: The hyper-instrument I created uses two sound sources of different nature: an acoustic one (piano) and an electronic one (virtual piano, sampler), the unification of the two being made through sensor technology controlled by the Max/MSP programming environment. In the work Piano Interactions for sensors, piano and electronics, which I dedicated to the hyper-instrument, the composition process was conducted hand in hand with the programming.
