Summary/Abstract: A block of papers was published in this journal, № 2, 2013, entitled „Dimitri Michaltschew – Sixty Years Later“. My short essay contains remarks concerning two of those papers, written by Ventseslav Kulov, and by Lilia Gurova. According to V. Kulov, D. Michaltschew’s error consists in ascribing the qualification „existent“ („real“) to psychic experiences. My contention is that D. Michaltschew is consistent in so doing, because the notion of existence in his philosophy is related to that of action, and human will, for instance, is an active factor. Anyhow, Michaltschew could be criticized when assuming that some objects can be qualified as material, but yet to be deprived of existence. According to L. Gurova, challenges to Michaltschew’s philosophy are his outdated views of the formation of concepts, and of the notion of causation. I argue that she is right in defending this claim, but that the claim is a consequence of his epistemological view about the nature of concepts, which cannot account for the usage of abstract theoretical constructs.
