Summary/Abstract: The article aims at investigating the methodological advantages of putting in question the technocratic planning at the expense of the populist planning, as it is formulated both by the Norwegian social anthropologist and politician Ottar Brox (Hva skjer i Nord-Norge?) (1966) and the Norwegian journalist and writer Morten Strøksnes (Hva skjer i Nord-Norge?) (2006). The democratization of the process of planning is investigated as a key prerequisite for the reevaluation of the false presumption determining the understanding of technological progress as moral progress. One presumption that, in its turn, leads to the justification of specific type of elitarism reducing ethics of science to science whose main task is to optimize the business profits.
