Summary/Abstract: The Bible mentions numerous alliances and covenants. Theologians believe that the Hebrew term, berit (covenant) involves an understanding between two parties. The closure of a covenant was usually marked by a ceremony. In the Old Testament there are three covenants that occupy a special place in the Hebrew history, the sacrifice covenant, the circumcision covenant and the Sinai covenant. In the Church’s activity and mission, the history of the Covenant is constantly updated, becoming a model of divine worship. The conventional definition of the covenant is that “God has bound Himself to the people” and the people gave their word that they would honour it. Faith is the foundation of any covenant, and the Christians are helped to be productive by Jesus, our Lord. The grace of The Holy Ghost enables Christians to enter a state of missionary dynamism. The Covenant experience is the paradigm of life and the Christian mission.
