Summary/Abstract: Father Dumitru Stăniloae attributes a special role to the Holy Spirit, a special mission in communicating the Divine life for human deification. According to Father Stăniloae, the Holy Spirit is the Spirit of communion and the communicator of Trinitarian love for human being. Holy Spirit’s work implies as a fundamental activity, the personal communication of holiness and the possibility of deification. At Pentecost – Feast of communion and unity in diversity – the Holy Spirit is revealed as One who perfected the communication and communion of love between God and man, as a Spirit of communion and unity, being in this perspective the principle of unity and communion in Church. Communication of the Holy Spirit’s grace also involves the free cooperation of human being in order to achieve communion with God.
