Summary/Abstract: Competitiveness is a very important aspect of local and regional development. Nowadays competition takes place not only at the enterprise level, but also between countries, regions and cities. Wrocław Metropolitan Area is one of the major growth centers in Poland and its competitiveness affects the development of the area and the entire region. The paper contains the main determinants of competitiveness and analyzes the competitive position of Wroclaw Metropolitan Area.
