TELEVISION PROGRAMS ENTITY EMITTERS OF THE PUBLIC RTV SERVICE IN BOSNIA AND HERZEGOVINA

THE EUROPEAN STANDARDS OR THE RECIDIVISM OF NATIONAL TELEVISION

Summary/Abstract: The paper deals with the television programs of two public entity emitters – The Television of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Television of Republika Srpska. The structural features of this research are based on: the number of themes covered in majority and minority segments; the way they are presented – whether they have positive, neutral or negative context; and the type of program – whether it is politics, culture, sport… The research is based on the central informative shows of “Dnevnik 2” in the period of one week. As for the research methodology, content analysis was used in this paper.The research results contribute to the defining of the system´s concept of Public RTV service in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and give an answer to how much the existing system generates the further gaps among segments, how much justified is the need for the establishment of public RTV service in Croatian as part of the public RTV service in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and if there are among the existing system sustainable European perspectives of Public RTV system in Bosnia and Herzegovina, or if it is only a recidivism of a national TV model that existed in the totalitarian systems.
