АФОРИЗМ КАК ЕДИНИЦА ИДИОМАТИКИ (НА ПРИМЕРЕ БЕЛОРУССКОГО ЯЗЫКА)
APHORISM AS A PART OF IDIOMATICS (CASE OF BELARUSIAN LANGUAGE)

Summary/Abstract: The paper is devoted to Belarusian idioms and aphorisms. The author argues that idioms are provided with specific national features in its form and content, preserves information about cultural wealth of the members of one culture. The article states that: linguistic inquiry of aphorisms does not only consist in study of linguistic features of an aphorism as a unit of speech production and genre diversity of texts, but also in its symbolic nature in the language system and manifestation in speech; new linguistic approach to the study of aphorisms has all the grounds to become an independent field of knowledge; discussion about the place of aphorisms in philology, history of the study of aphorisms emphasizes the necessity of further researches in this field. The results of the work have general theoretic and practical significance. The data can be used for preparing manuals in Belarusian lexicology, linguistic culture, linguistic of the text. Thus the study of aphorisms of a language not only broadens the understanding of its idioms but also contributes to the study of civilization and culture of a people which are reflected in them.
