Summary/Abstract: The aim of this paper is to discuss the definition and the measurement of the population health concept, as well as the extent to which this measurement follows the rules of scientific measurement. This paper, based on scientific literature, constitutes an attempt to establish an operational definition for this concept. It will also offer a brief description of the most common measures of this concept, in order to gain a proper understanding of what these actually measure.
