Summary/Abstract: The present work proposes an analysis of the European cultural environment influenced by the event of post secularisation reflected in the perspective of tolerance in the eyes the common man. The Church and the State, two key institutions, are marked in Postmodernity by two "guidelines": syncretism and multiculturalism. In this regard the contemporary man is often faced within the current society with two antithetic choices: inspirit choosing the world or the worshiping traditions; emancipation or conservatism. Beyond these options our approach in this study proposes middle way that of "tolerance".
