Summary/Abstract: Lectio divina is a serious spiritual activity that among other important topics also deals with secular literature within the Romanian profane genre. The author, a Benedictine monk, raises a significant question, whether the Romanian genre is foreign or not to the Bible. Later on he continues this idea by asking whether profane life takes place in lectio divina, and then transposes his investigation in the novels of Georges Simenon.
