Corporate governance and its impact on company value

Summary/Abstract: Corporate governance is the concept which is widely discussed in the world, especially in countries with developed or developing capital market. Abstractness of this concept is a reflection of the complexity of economic life, the multiplicity and diversity of customs, standards, culture, and finally, historical conditions. The aim of this paper is to attempt to determine the relationship between corporate governance mechanisms and the creation of company value. The first part is devoted to theoretical aspects − an interpretation of corporate governance, models, role of stakeholders, the objectives of corporate governance. The second part shows the role of corporate governance in creating company value.
