Summary/Abstract: The article deals with two research problems. The first one concerns the valuation of wind energy resources on the example of Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship. The second problem area refers to the question of environmental conditions. In accordance with the assumptions of the Energy Policy of the European Union wind energy will be significant in the energy balance and its share in the structure of the produced energy will reach 15%. However, the installation of wind power appliances is determined by different factors. As regards Warmian- Masurian Voivodeship environmental conditions belong to the most important.
