Determinants of parti- cipation in the international sport events exemplified by the research

Summary/Abstract: Currently, the supporters are one of the major participants in the sport activity. Quite often they also become the tourists as they travel to an international sport event. This type of simultaneous participation both in sport and in tourism tends to be called sport tourism. The aim of the article was to investigate the importance of chosen determinants (motives) and the barriers to the participation in the international sport events on the example of research among the supporters during the Volleyball Men’s World Cup.
