IMPACT OF CORPORATE GOVERNANCE CODES ON COMPANY’S MANAGEMENT

Summary/Abstract: The article deals with the corporate governance effect on the company’s performance and ability to attract capital. The author tries to ground the proposition that good corporate governance is a key factor for attracting investment, retaining investor’s confidence in the company and increasing the company’s competitiveness. The paper analyzes one of the ways to encourage the development of good corporate governance in Lithuania: to enhance the companies’ awareness about the standards of corporate governance based on the best practice analysis. Thus the best practice principles should be incorporated and codified into the Corporate Governance Code.
