Summary/Abstract: Addiction is one of the most dangerous traps that a person can fall into. There are two reasons for which a person becomes addicted, either because of ignorance, it begins without taking into consideration the fact that in time s/he can become addicted, or because of a belief in her/his own will based on the assumption that: such a thing will not happen precisely to me. There are multiple tactics used which lure the Facebook user in such a subtle manner that no beginner believes and realizes from the very beginning what level of slavery s/he can reach. This paper aims to define a new concept on the Romanian market and that is “facebookmania”. On the other hand, we will try to carry on an empirical study dedicated to the most vulnerable generation, the so called Z generation, of the young people born after 1995. We will try to determine how many young people from Timis county identify themselves as being addicted and how aware are they of the fact that the long period of time spent on Facebook can create a sort of addiction that can lead even to the admission in a specialized hospital.
