Summary/Abstract: In the difficult landscape of postwar literature in Spain, a large generation of writers presented their works. In addition, distinguished authors as Matute and Martín Gaite, from exile, have actively influenced postwar Spanish literature. In this constellation, stands Carmen Laforet, considered one of the most important female voices of her generation. Upon receiving the Premio Nadal with Nada, the life of this shy and enigmatic young lady, who was definitely touched by fame, against which she fought hard, longing for her privacy and showing strong rejection to public life. We aim to evoke the author, highlighting some aspects of her biography and her literary activity.
