LA CARTA METÓDICA: INSTRUMENTO DE FORMACIÓN INICIAL PARA LOS FUTUROS MAESTROS DE EDUCACIÓN INFANTIL EN RUMANÍA
The methodical Letter: Initial Training Instrument for Future Early-Childhood Education Teachers in Romania

Summary/Abstract: It is now an established practice for the Romanian education authorities to send to Romanian early childhood education institutions (nurseries and kindergartens), a document called methodical letter, regardless of whether they are public or private institutions, on an annual basis. This letter contains a number of recommendations regarding the Curriculum pentru educație timpurie (Curriculum for early education). The Curriculum pentru educație timpurie is the basis of national education at pre-primary level. The methodical letter written by national institutions, with a relatively fixed structure, sets out a number of issues and recommendations for better implementation of the national curriculum, as well as issues for discussion of teaching practice in the classroom. In this article, we aim to investigate the last five methodical letters in the perspective of considering them as pedagogical and didactic resources for students during their internship period. Both students in initial training, as well as Educational agents (Galisson, 1990) who teach at the pre-school level can find in these documents a useful and necessary training tool for the teaching career. We believe that the methodical letters can be useful for students - future educators to consolidate their knowledge about the educational process in the classroom as well as to consider their professional-teaching competences and, implicitly, to gain a better understanding of the teaching practice they observe and analyse during the different internship periods.
