Summary/Abstract: The second part of our study on employee financial participation (EFP) is mainly devoted to the presentation of experiences and achievements of EFP in most advanced European countries and the US. Historical evolution and recent institutional arrangements of EFP together with their regulatory and fiscal environment are shown. While thousands of European and US companies broadly recognize and successfully use EFP as a tool for better management, the outcome of research on the direct dependence between introduction of EFP schemes in companies and their economic performance is rather ambiguous. Many researchers claim that EFP schemes may work most successfully where the communication systems enable employees to understand their role and potential benefits from EFP.
