CREATIVE ASPECTS OF THE VINČAN CULTURE IN ROMANIA

Summary/Abstract: The Vinča culture was born in the Neolithic (5500 - 5000 BC). In Romania, during this period, was established new syntheses by new communities and new cultures from the south (Vinča culture) and from Central Europe (linear pottery culture) thereby replacing the previous great cultural unity, Starcevo-Cris. The Vinča culture is one of the most popular, most dynamic and most complex cultures. Today we can not speak about Vinča as totality, but rather several groups of Vinča culture (Banat culture group, Bucovăţ culture group, Szakalhat culture, Rast culture group, Turdaş culture, the cultural complex Lumea Nouă-Cheile Turzii-Cluj and Iclod culture group).
