Evaluation in local self-government

Summary/Abstract: The article concerns the practice of evaluation in local self-governmental units (gmina). The results of the survey realized in Lodz region show the low level of evaluation practice. The main reasons of this may be alow level of knowledge about evaluation as well as a weak commitment to the appraisal of public interventions at local levelin general.
