Summary/Abstract: Test anxiety represents a disorder that has raised lots of problems, both for diagnosis and classification. This paper aims to present a brief history of the theories that have dealt with the concept of test anxiety, to assess the main decisive factors leading to it, the specific manifestations, the relationship with the skill tests performances, as well as with school or academic performances, the relationship with motivation for school or academic success, more precisely the methods and techniques known in the field of intervention with a view to reducing and/or preventing the specific symptoms.
