Summary/Abstract: The town of Galaţi, surrounded by the rivers Danube, Pruth, Siret and by Brateş lake, has benefited, starting with 1915, from a great fish treatment enterprise – the Fishery Halls, built upon the initiative of the Romanian State, according to the project of Engineer G. Vidraşcu. The article presents the technical data of the equipment and the fish species processed here.
