Summary/Abstract: In the article connections between three types of models were introduced: models for cross section data, models for panel data and models of time series. Possibilities of analyzing objects' heterogeneity by means of presented models were discussed. In the empirical example procedure proposed in the article was used to estimate individual effects describing propensity to consume in voivodships in Poland in years 1998-2005
