Summary/Abstract: The subject of the author of the article reflecting is aging. The author refers to the literature on this subject, elder people’s observations, own experience and thoughts. The author indicates the prevailing fashion for youth while the European society is aging. He emphasizes that many societies of modern Europe, including Polish are not prepared to accept aging. The author postulates the need to prepare for “aging” in both social and individual life. For bearable aging, if it cannot be beautiful, good, wise and happy, it should be at least safe.
