Challenges of using ICT (Information and Communication Technologies) in Romanian Pre-university Education

Summary/Abstract: Digital Education is one of the concerns of Romanian education, by creating information literacy and digital communication for any citizen. Integrating computers in the education process is no longer seen as an avant-garde movement, but as a necessity. The conversion of cultural content into a digital form is observed worldwide, thus making the products available to anyone, anywhere, anytime. Do digital lessons keep students in school, cause them to be more attentive, and to assimilate information more easily? What are the drawbacks of using ICT in the education of children? Virtual education has become a phenomenon in the Romanian industry in recent years, and its effects on short, medium and long term should be evaluated more carefully.
