Summary/Abstract: The paper examines the various manifestations of merging boundaries in contemporary Czech literature for children and young people, focusing primarily on the category of age. This confusion is often found in the literature. Author compiles own typology, in which there are four types of this trend: books for children, which are also an artistic artifact (books from Petr Nikl, Jirí Cernicky, Frantisek Skala); pictorial publications overlapping to non-fiction (Petr Sís, Renata Fucikova); books that are published in editions and modify signaling mistakenly focus on their children’s readers (Martin Reiner, Michal Viewegh, Pavel Srut: Tti tatinci a maminka; Adam Votruba: Namazeme skolu spekem – soucasny detsky folklor) and books that contain graphically separate passages for adults and children (Michal Viewegh: Kratke pohadky pro unavene rodice; Tereza Sediva: Príbeh mimina s velkou hlavou).
