Summary/Abstract: In the recent years the threat posed by intensive agriculture has been perceived more clearly. The paper presents the projection of economic results for 2015 of winter wheat, winter rye, spring barley and winter oil rapeseed in farms with low and high intensity of production and yield variability. The measure of the intensity of production was the value of means of production which the level of direct costs expressed. The results shows that it is possible to maintain high economic efficiency of production and, at the same time, reduce the adverse effects on the environment. Only with yields much higher than the average, the predominance of farms engaged in a very intensive production was indicated.
