ENERGY SECURITY AND ENERGy CORRIDORS IN THE BALCANS

Summary/Abstract: The energy-connected problems are often causing major conflicts, putting in danger states and even global and regional security. The Balkan Peninsula is a place where the interests of the main geopolitical actors collide. If the states in the area manage to mutually recognize their interests and work to fulfill them together, they will manage to neutralize to some extent the tendency of great powers to persue their interests on the expense of local actors. A common approach of states in the region could alter the way in which great powers treat their interests.
