The structure of male and female employment and remuneration vs. the basic economy structure in the EU countries

Summary/Abstract: This paper analyzes the relationship between the economic structure and the employment structure of men and women and their wages. The classification of EU countries was accomplished using the labor market and the economic structure indicators. For that purpose the k-means method was used. Special attention was given to the Baltic Sea Region countries and their position in relation to other EU states. The analysis was based on the data from the Structure of Earnings Survey (SES).
