Summary/Abstract: There is a lot of information about the crucial role of leadership in the modern world of profit oriented organizations in HRM literature, various reports and guides. An important issue in the relation to so ubiquitous demand for leadership is to answer the questions: Which type of leadership do we have in mind: A binding leader with followers for a long period of time on the basis of strong emotional relationship and a vision of development which takes into account the permanent improvement of employees, or rather – flexible choosing of leaders by members of the project teams based on the expected benefits? The article is an attempt to answer the above questions based on critical analysis of literature and my own observations of expectations of future managers towards organizational leadership.
