Summary/Abstract: The article presents the results of empirical studies relating to the remuneration of employees in multinational companies. Attention was focused mainly on the forms and ingredients that formed the structure of remunerations. The aim of this study was to investigate practices in human resource management, including the area of remuneration in multinational companies. An adopted research problem referred to the question whether companies operating in international markets applied in the area of remuneration solutions tailored to the conditions and requirements posed by the local market in which they operated. The research carried out in a group of 50 companies did not give a clear answer to the question. It allowed, however, to identify the problems that were associated with the remuneration of employees in multinational companies.
