Summary/Abstract: Every day buyers purchase products, often being unaware that they are under the influence of manipulative actions, which induce them to choose particular products. The task of selling methods is not only to induce the customer to purchase a product but also providing the greatest possible satisfaction of product’s ownership and encouraging repeated purchase in the future. In the conducted research an attempt was made to determine how the modern methods of sale are evaluated by consumers. In response to the above issues, a tree hundred residents of the city of Olsztyn have been researched. It was found that the effectiveness of modern sales methods is highly diverse. Some techniques are accepted, others are not. Some are even very helpful in the buying process
