Summary/Abstract: In the process of my research I have repeatedly faced the problem of historic events being interpreted differently by different nations that had been populating the same region for centuries. One of the central problems of Transylvanian historiography has been and is the question of the Diasporas. Romanian, German and Hungarian historians present the same historic event from their own point of view. In the event that is the focus of the research, one nation represents the majority, the other the minority and the same event is a victory for one, a loss for the other. Th is loss contributes to the forming of the Diasporas. My hypothesis is, as it follows: the events of the collectivisation are sensitive problems, not only to me, but to all of us. I believe that by trying to bring the events of the past into the present by documentation, I can aff ect the man of today. In order to be fair, I have been searching through diff erent methodical descriptions, but to be honest, our forefathers did not leave us with a direction to follow. They were not professional history writers, but they knew one thing for sure: „history is the teacher of mankind.” I have been asking questions to people that have left something behind, that were born true men and remained so in spite of the tempest of history. In the light of these thoughts I shortly present the work of Count Bishop Domokos Zichy and the work of Ferenc Adolf Flóth, a landowner from Beclean, former sheriff of Beclean and overseer of the Beclean parish. These people knew the right way to administrate their estates and wealth, even when history blew with harsh winds. Th eir demeanour is an example to follow to all of us. Setting the basics of a whole new method is not my goal, I merely try to report the social, behavioural aspects of an era from documentable sources, and most of all, to report about personalities that in spite of their life tragedies, could be great in the most noble sense of the word.
