Summary/Abstract: Informatics in volleyball game is very present, mainly after 1990. For high performance team specialised programmes has been created - for training, players and matches evaluation. I have made a scroll of the main computerised methods aiming to evaluate the volleyball game, by different point of view. I present the main programs used successfully in the world: DataProject, Provoline, Dartfish. For each soft the computer operator assign codes to notebook’s keyboard, pointing a certain sign or a combination of signs for different game skills. The following information can be inputted: type of action (serve, receive, set, attack, block, and dig), skill’s efficiency, player’s number, place in the game field, action orientation thru the opposite field. Interpretation of the recorded data the programs can generate tables and graphics for both teams. The programmes create data bases that can be saved so the coach can use it in future training periods rendering. For analyzing video records the programs needs better equipment - a big hard drive disk, a high performance processor, a better graphic card, sound cards, and chips. We must not forget the acquisition system - a HDD camera with speed recording. We must remember the Romanian soft Voleimon, using for evaluation scale of the international Volleyball Federation (Manual for Statistical Match Records). The results have been graphically presented and centralized. Every actions evaluated by using a scale of 5 degrees based on the effect on the score or further control of the ball by the team that plays the ball or by the opposite team: Ace (4) won point, Excellent (3) - full control either won or maintained, Good (2) - limited control, won or maintained, Weak (1) - lost control or without control, Fault (mistake) - 0 - lost point. "Ace" (evaluated 4) is used just for the following actions: service, attack, block. "Full control" (evaluated 3) is being used when all possibilities are created for further play constructions. "Limited control" (evaluated 2), in case if the further attack preparation cannot be done by using all options. "Without control" (evaluated 1) is used when the attack construction is not possible, but however the ball remains in play.
