Implementation of the regional innovation strategy as the network of activities – example of the Śląskie Voivodeship

Summary/Abstract: Regions are such entitles which in practice implement concepts and methods of strategic management. This fact is caused not only by a real need to make a regional strategy transparent and rational, but also to fulfil records of Regional Government Act. In the paper the concept of activity network implemented for the establishing processes of Regional Innovation Strategy (RIS) is presented. Activity network includes not only the actors of the regional innovation system and their bilateral relations, but also the interdependent activities comprising processes. The process of implementing RIS has been illustrated by the example of implementing the model of RIS of Śląskie Voivodeship for the years 2013-2020.
