The quality of electronic information about drugs

Summary/Abstract: The quality of medical information is a very important issue, because it can affect not only health, but also the lives of patients. The vastness of the content available online tends to act in any verifi cation of sources including in terms of their validity, timeliness, completeness, or relevance of. The article presents the issues of quality of information about drugs available on the Internet, based on selected Polish websites about health. Author points to differences in the quality level, weaknesses and strengths of the various aspects of quality. It formulates also recommendations for the improvement of its characteristics
