Summary/Abstract: Innovation policy is an important determinant of innovativeness of the economy. The article attempts to assess innovation policy in Poland. The first part has presented the most important changes that have occurred in the area of innovation policy in our country, the second part focus on the subsidies and tax breaks as the main tools of innovation policy. Finally the third part covers the other instruments of innovation policy.
