Summary/Abstract: Due to lack of public interest the European Parliament elections are widely considered as second-order elections. The context of those elections has influence on voters’ behaviours in different way than national elections. That impact is connected with lower turnout, worse results of government parties and brighter prospects for small and new parties. In May 2014 the Congress of the New Right (KNP) reached the mandates in European Parliament as a newcomer. The conducted analysis realised that the lower turnout was only one of the factors which determined the success of KNP. The party result was rather the consequence of good political campaign, political program and proper positioning on political scene.
