The role of logistic support management in the crisis and extreme situations

Summary/Abstract: The role and importance of the logistic support management in the crisis and extreme situations have been presented in this paper. The taxonomy of the crisis situations, the environment and conditions of the logistic support that should be taken into account in the crisis period have been explained. The difference between commercial, military and crisis management logistics has been identified. The rules of the crisis logistic support have been set in order and also their influence on the logistic management has been identified. The mutual ties between logistic support management and crisis management decision making process and logistic operations related to the phases and stages of the process have been defined. The graphic interpretation of the log operations within particular phases of the decision making process has been presented.
