Rural communes as beneficiaries of EU funds in 2007-2013 on the example of Mazowieckie Voivodeship

Summary/Abstract: The aim of the article is to define the level of absorption of funds from the EU budget by rural communes of Mazowieckie Voivodeship in the years 2007-2013. The article indicates the spatial diversity of obtaining EU funds and describes the directions of their destination. In the comparative analysis the activity of rural communes compared to other types of communes is taken into account. The statistical data came from the SIMIK database prepared by the Ministry of Infrastructure and Development. Rural communes of Mazowieckie Voivodeship were highly varied in terms of obtaining funds from the EU budget.
