Summary/Abstract: In the global economy, companies to a greater extent than before, are forced to operate on the international market. Every company is guided by other motives of internationalization of their activities. Some companies seek to acquiring new markets, which reach to new customers, others seek for lower production costs, mainly cheaper labor force, yet another are shifting their operations in search of suppliers and raw materials for further production. One of the additional motives of internationalization can be the location in the cluster and following the dominant company from one market to a new location of the cluster. The aim of this article is to examine the motives groups of internationalization and an indication that the location in the cluster can be one of the reasons for the business abroad. The support of this thesis may be empirical research conducted among representatives of the companies belonging to one of the industrial clusters in Lower Silesia.
