Summary/Abstract: The aim of this article is to identify the most important dilemmas of accounting education at the university. Therefore, the paper describes the factors which have influence on accounting teaching process and against this background, it reviews the title dilemmas with particular emphasis on the subjective criteria. The main thesis of the article is included in the statement that in the process of accounting teaching more and more attention is paid to conditions unrelated to the transfer of knowledge and skills to students and listeners. The article was created using the analysis of the literature, own experience as a university teacher and independent accountant, interviews with employers and the scientific community using inductive reasoning.
