Summary/Abstract: Right and Wrong in the Current Practice of Transplantation. Some Theological Perspectives on a Phenomenon whith Bioethical Implications. In this article, the author analyzes, based on the Romanian and foreign literature consulted the theological implications of transplantatations in organs. There are presented, aspects concerning the sanctity of life, death, human dignity and human organsand its utility, often encountered in the debate. Also, given that there is not a unanimous report of the Orthodox Churches in relation to organ transplantation, the author presents the most important views on this topics, opinions of some of most important foreign and Romanian theologians (like John Breck, Georgios Mantzaridis, Jean-Claude Larchet, Herman Tristam Engehardt, Ioan Marian Croitoru, Archbishop Irineu Pop, Sebastian Moldovan, Ioan Ică jr. or Ştefan Iloaie). The conclusion reached in this research is that the Orthodox Church accepts organ transplantation, if the medical practice respects moral principles.
