Summary/Abstract: The poetic visual sensibility of Julian Tuwim shows the reality between the visible and the invisible. Transformation of different images in the poem »The Feminine« depends not only on the physical sight or direction of gaze, but also on reading the intentions of the artist in the visual experience of the potential recipient. It is impossible to escape image. Apart from external images, there are also internal ones - as defined by Maria Poprzęcka - seen through the closed eyes. Internal or external im-age is always a form of expression of artistic activities. Seeing images is a double en-counter: with the poetic phrase painted with a word, and the poet painting those poetic impressions. In the poem »The Feminine«, there are different images of women shown with the theme of water bath in many paintings in the history of art, namely The Birth of Venus by Sandro Botticelli, Venus with a Mirror, Diego Velazquez, The Bathing Woman by Jean August Dominique Ingres, Bathers by Paul Cezanne, Woman in the Bath by Edgar Degas, Models by Georges Seurat and Woman Leaning on Her Elbow by Pierre Bonnard. The image of a woman in Tuwim's poem is still subject to change and transformation, it is an image unfinished and inscrutable as feminine nature.
